The Papercut Chronicles had long been derided as a fluff newspaper with no substance. They published cheerful articles about the accomplishments of the local folk.
Farmer Blue had successfully bred a new kind of sunflower that had teeth instead of seeds. A photo of Rancher Tot smiling next to the pegasus colt his 30 year old mare had birthed in the spring. Wife Betty next to her every flavor pie that tasted like every berry that had ever been discovered or stolen.
Then one day, the magic of the locals went too far. Farmer George had bred a chicken with a t-rex and create a monstrosity. The Chicken Rex immediately began devouring all the other creatures in the barn. The Papercut Chronicles had to publish a warning for the town that the chicken rex had escaped and was a voracious eating beast hell bent on destruction.
