Yesterday we discovered that the bread maker had died. 😫
9 am: wake up and have coffee. I love it when the husband is home and I can sleep in a little.
10 am: start sourdough starter and a white bread recipe. It’s been forever since I made bread by hand. Punching dough is very cathartic for all those frustrations you’ve got.
11 am: both the starter and the dough are rising on the stove. The starter will be ready to use in a few days. The bread will be baked this afternoon. 💃🏻
11:15 am: Middle Child found the aluminum foil ball. So we’ve been playing catch with it in the hallway. I guess non stop gaming got old. 🤷🏼♀️
If anyone wants the recipes I used for the bread and sourdough starter, let me know in the comments. I’ll see if I can scan the book. (I know! Who the fuck still has recipe books??? I’m a dinosaur 🦕 🤷🏼♀️ 🤣)

These are from the book: The Practical Encyclopedia of Baking by Martha Day
